About Us
In 2000 Teresa Reilly and Jackie DeRosa started MAME Magazine out of Boston, Mass. Over the next four years, twelve issues were printed and distributed across the nation. Artists ranging from P. Diddy to Aaron Carter were featured (check Print Years for a full list). However, in 2004 both founding ladies went and pursued further opportunities.
In 2009, MAME Magazine was being resurrected in this web format. Completely free and run by two graduates from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, this magazine is looking to be a leader in the new wave of journalism.
Teresa recieved her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. After founding MAME Magazine in 2000, she went on to work for Houghton Mifflin, Thomson Reuters and Disney.
Melissa received her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Before joining MAME Magazine in 2009, she worked for the trade publications EDN Magazine and Test & Measurement World and Massachusetts-based PR firm Hart-Boillot.
Haleigh has worked in various types of media since 2005 as an Arts and Entertaiment reporter for Chelmsford Patch and the Lowell Sun newspaper, as well as a PR consultant for musical acts including the Jonas Brothers and Krista Angelucci. Haleigh has been attending concerts religiously since the age of 12 and has a passion for live music.
When Chris isn’t checking out awesome shows and delivering stellar articles for Mame Magazine, he is a Geologist working for a small Oil & Gas Exploration company. Outside of being a G and going to shows, he can be found hiking, camping, brewing beer, and checking out beer related activities around Colorado.
